Wynnie's Montessori BFF was never allowed to come to our house because the BFF lived in a 3 story CASTLE and um... we live in the ghetto and our entire house would fit into her bedroom closet. I hate playdates. HATE THEM. It doesn't matter if the parent stays or goes. I hate them.

I love that Anna was just speaking her truth. Wynnie started out meek and let people step all over her. Now she asserts herself and is FOREVER making somebody else cry, even when Wynnie is right... the kid DID do something wrong. It's a gentle balance between speaking her truth and peace.Hyphen Mamahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10129843526632243730noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32592788.post-11183794715750875862009-09-13T14:07:25.625-07:002009-09-13T14:07:25.625-07:00It is unfortunately part of the 4 yr. old/ prescho...It is unfortunately part of the 4 yr. old/ preschool territory- both the possessive behavior and the forced social interaction with other moms. But kindergarten brings drop off playdates (and more maturity), and while I found that terrifying at first, now that I know the families it is wonderful. It is like free babysitting when at the other home and when they are here it is someone else (besides me) to entertain my daughter so makes things easier for me as long as I keep apple juice, popcorn, and goldfish-like crackers on hand.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32592788.post-41250443991759293112009-09-13T04:50:17.754-07:002009-09-13T04:50:17.754-07:00Stuff the yummy mummy's...Anna is just being t...Stuff the yummy mummy's...Anna is just being typical of her age group.
