I am hosting Book Club in 3 hours. This is my kitchen.
3 hours, and counting....
** Updated to add: LK put the sink in, but didn't have time to attach it, so, no running water, but at least the place looked good. This is California after all, and as long as something looks the part, it doesn't actually have to have a function (like the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills). Apparently the pipe had just completely corroded through.
Reassuring.

So who needs water? Drink wine! x
Slight plumbing problem? As Anonymous said, drink wine!
Um, where is your sink?
I've been there. I was in the middle of fixing Christmas Eve dinner (for several guests) when a hot water pipe burst in the garage. The weather was very cold, so the garage filled with steam and there was a waterfall of water onto the cars. This was about 4:40 pm, with the only store with a hope of plumbing parts closing at 5:00. Husband had just enough time to fly into the store, get parts, and back to fix the pipe. Dinner was late, but it was better than things could have been. Whew.
